This vinaigrette has four reeded sides. The grille features filigreed heart shape design. It is made from heavy sheet of silver and feels weighty in hand. It comes with a piece of sponge. The box hinge and grille hinge both work fine. When the box closes, the lid remains slightly ajar, by like 0.5mm(see the fifth picture). Some light dents. Light scratches on the surface. Obvious sign of usage inside the box.
This vinaigrette came from a large collection of antique vinaigrettes and nutmeg graters I found in a local estate sale. The owner kindly presented prior receipts, from which I learnt that the collection was acquired from various jewelers and antique dealers in the last 25 years.
