1834 Georgian Solid Sterling Silver Viniagrette by Edwin JonesThis tiny treasure box was made just as the Georgian era came to an end. 1834 viniagrette by Edwin Jones of Birmingham. The top has hand chased scrolling Acanthus leaves with a center cartouche showing an elaborate pair of initials. The lid opens to display a gilded grate with etched flowers with the first set of hallmarks inside the lid. The one hole on the top left of the grate seems larger and irregular. The grate opens to show the second set of hallmarks at the bottom. The back has a lovely etched framed flower. The piece has a bail to hang as a pendant. The box itself without the bail measures 30mm by 20mm.
