Sea Foam Green... Why do we love it so much?   I guess because it looks so f'n killer.   Like a Cadillac from the late 50's, this beautiful guitar exudes both the bold design and the color choices we used to celebrate in this country.
And lucky for you, I've just lowered the price
This one comes to us from somewhere between 1964, when the big Val-Pro 84 was shrunk down to this smaller body size, and 1968, when Valco shuttered their doors and the auctions began.
As you can see this one's all there -- the fat Ralph Keller designed single coil pickup, and the "silver sound" pickup inside the base of the bridge.  It still has original knobs, switch tip, engraved pick guard, as well as nice condition set of Kluson "butterfly" tuners.
The body is virtually free of defects.  None of the stress cracks and chips that usually appear on these Res-o-glas guitars.
Yep, it's a sea foam green wet dream, except for an unfortunate crack in the back of the neck, near the headstock.  It's the same crack it had when I bought it some twenty years ago. I never got around to having it glued, but it never caused any problems. Well, that neck issue is why I'm not asking the 5K I've seen these get.
No case is offered, but a gig bag is available.
This guitar will be offered on Reverb .com and Los Angeles craigslist, and will be priced accordingly.  (less!)
