    Description

    An English sterling silver vinaigrette engraved with scrolls with a beautifully pierced gold washed grill. The maker is John Tongue dated for Birmingham 1843. The gilding  on the inside under the grill is a little corroded from the sponge that was in there at one time.  Otherwise very good condition.  Monogrammed in the shield on the lid. Marked under the grill and on the inside of the lid.  Length 2" by 1 1/4" wide and height 3/8".
