THIS LISTING IS FOR  A LOVELY GEORGIAN ERA STERLING SILVER VINAIGRETTE BY NATHANIEL MILLS, c. 1833. THIS LOVELY VINAIGRETTE FEATURES A CENTER CARTOUCHE ON THE FRONT FOR MONOGRAM (UNUSED) ACCENTED WITH AN INTRICATELY EMBOSSED SCROLL DESIGN ON BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE CASE. INSIDE IS THE ORIGINAL SPONGE WAFER FOR HOLDING FRAGRANCE. MARKED ON THE INTERIOR WITH ENGLISH HALLMARKS FOR STERLING, BIRMINGHAM, DATE CODE FOR 1833 AND MAKER'S STAMP "N M" FOR NATHANIEL MILLS, ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS MAKERS OF SILVER BOXES AND VINAIGRETTES, ETC.
MEASURES 1" LONG AND 3/4" WIDE.  WEIGHS 8 GRAMS.
THE PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO NOTED DAMAGE, THE LID FITS WELL AN CLOSES TIGHTLY.
