
The Drawing Room is an art fair focused on drawing, part of the cultural European circuit and is making its debut in Lisbon from the 10th to the 14th of October at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes in Lisbon, Portugal. The fair director Mónica Álvarez Careaga states that Lisbon has a rich and diversified cultural atmosphere and Drawing Room Lisboa is a natural consequence. The fair is taking place among other European Cities that are embracing this mission to promote drawing and artists on a common platform. The Portuguese edition is now standing alongside Drawing Now, in Paris, Art On Paper, in Brussels, Wopart, in Lugano or Paper Positions, in Berlin.
At the fair website the organization state that “Drawing Room Lisboa is a curated project focused on contemporary drawing and the medium of paper who invites 20 international galleries to present to most significant, challenging and innovative artworks from their artists”.
